The Position:

The purpose of hiring E-commerce Virtual Assistant is to provide services to our founders’ business success and specific strategies employed to achieve that success in the E-commerce domain.

Work Hours:

The client may be based in New Zealand, the United States, Canada, or the United Kingdom. You must be willing to work either the graveyard shift (with a 10% pay increase) or the day shift, depending on your client's working hours.

The role includes any of the following task, as assigned by the Founder:

  • Operational Efficiency Enhancement: Streamline and optimize day-to-day E-commerce operations to improve overall efficiency, ensuring smoother workflows and reduced administrative burden.
  • Customer Engagement and Support: Provide prompt and personalized support, addressing queries, managing orders, and ensuring a seamless online shopping experience.
  • Product Listing Management: Manage and update product listings on E-commerce platforms, ensuring accurate and appealing product information, images, and pricing.
  • Order Processing and Fulfillment: Facilitate the end-to-end order processing, from order placement to fulfillment, managing inventory levels and coordinating with logistics partners for timely deliveries.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyzes E-commerce performance metrics, generates insightful reports, and provides recommendations to optimize sales, marketing strategies, and customer engagement.
  • E-commerce Platform Management: Navigate and leverage various E-commerce platforms, staying updated on platform features and updates to maximize the effectiveness of online storefronts.
  • Market Research and Competitor Analysis: Conduct market research to identify industry trends, analyze competitor strategies, and provide insights to guide decision-making and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Digital Marketing Collaboration: Collaborate with the digital marketing team to implement and monitor E-commerce-focused marketing campaigns, promotions, and advertisements.
  • Customer Relationship Building: Build and nurture relationships with E-commerce customers through personalized communication, feedback management, and loyalty programs.
  • Quality Assurance and User Experience Enhancement: Ensure the accuracy and quality of product information, images, and customer-facing content, contributing to a positive user experience and minimizing returns or customer dissatisfaction.

Knowledge:

  • E-commerce Ecosystem Understanding: A deep knowledge of the e-commerce ecosystem is crucial. This includes understanding the online retail process, from product sourcing and inventory management to the customer journey, checkout process, and post-purchase activities. Knowledge of various business models, such as dropshipping or fulfillment methods, enhances the ability to contribute effectively to e-commerce marketing strategies.
  • Digital Marketing Landscape: A comprehensive understanding of the digital marketing landscape is essential. This includes staying updated on the latest trends, emerging technologies, and changes in algorithms that can impact online visibility and consumer behavior. Knowledge of different digital marketing channels, their strengths, and how they can be integrated to create a cohesive strategy is key to driving successful e-commerce marketing campaigns.

Skills:

  • Digital Marketing Skills: Mastery in various digital marketing channels, including social media, email marketing, content marketing, and search engine optimization (SEO).
  • Content Creation and Copywriting Skills: Proficiency in creating compelling and engaging content for product descriptions, social media posts, email campaigns, and other marketing materials.
  • Data Analysis and Interpretation Skills: The ability to analyze data using tools like Google Analytics to derive meaningful insights. This includes interpreting key performance indicators (KPIs), understanding customer behavior, and using data to optimize marketing strategies for better results.
  • E-commerce Platform Management Skills: Competence in managing and optimizing e-commerce platforms such as Shopify, WooCommerce, or Magento.
  • Social Media Management Skills: Expertise in planning and executing social media strategies across platforms. This includes content scheduling, community engagement, and staying updated on social media trends.
  • Email Marketing Skills: Proficient in designing and implementing email marketing campaigns, including creating visually appealing emails, segmenting audiences, and analyzing campaign performance.
  • SEO Optimization: Understanding of search engine optimization principles to enhance the visibility of products and the e-commerce website on search engines.
  • Customer Relationship Management (CRM): Familiarity with CRM systems to manage customer data, track interactions, and personalize marketing efforts. This helps in building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, driving loyalty and repeat business.

Experience/Education:

  • Proven 2-3 experience in E-commerce platform management, digital marketing, or related roles.
  • Strong technical proficiency with E-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento)
  • An educational background in marketing, business, or a related field is a plus
